The story of our cashmere begins in the extreme, isolated winters of Mongolia. To survive the freezing cold, the native goats develop a hidden layer of incredibly fine, soft down beneath their coarse outer coats.
As the seasons turn, this fiber is naturally cast off and meticulously gathered by hand. The resulting harvest is astonishingly small, yielding only a small fraction of the world's natural fibres
This natural scarcity demands respect, and we honor it by treating the fiber with strict restraint, allowing the raw, sensory beauty of the Mongolian cashmere to speak entirely for itself.

The Measure of True Cashmere
Not all cashmere is equal. The difference lies in what cannot be seen at first glance: the fineness of the fibre, the length of the strand, and the discipline of its construction.
House of Aviar uses only exceptionally fine undercoat fibres, chosen for their weightless softness against the skin. Longer strands give the knit its endurance, helping it resist pilling and preserve its character through repeated wear.
Each piece is fully fashioned to shape and built in a substantial four-ply weight, using yarn spun by the historic house of Moro. The result is cashmere with softness, structure, and lasting presence.

The finest fibre is merely a promise until it is properly made. Our 100% Mongolian cashmere is spun by Moro, whose yarns align with the Sustainable Fibre Alliance and The Good Cashmere Standard.
We believe construction is where true quality is proven. Most cashmere is built on a 2-ply standard. We use a 4-ply, 12-gauge construction, creating a heavyweight cloth with a definitive drape. Each garment is fully fashioned, with panels knitted directly into their final form rather than cut from a sheet.
Crafted in limited runs, we make garments designed to be kept
